Product Description

PA66
PA66 (polyamide 66 or nylon 66) is a kind of high-performance engineering plastic, which is made from adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine by polycondensation, and has excellent mechanical properties, thermal stability and chemical stability.
chemical constitution
PA66 is formed by alternating polymerization of caprolactam and Styrene, and "66" in the molecular chain indicates the number of monomer units of adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine.
Physical and mechanical properties
Melting point: 252℃ (ordinary PA6 is 250℃), and the thermal deformation temperature can reach above 220℃;
Mechanical strength: the tensile strength can reach 500-900MPa, the elongation at break is 2-30%, and the rigidity and toughness are excellent;
Transparency: translucent to opaque opalescent crystalline polymer with good fluidity (but lower than PA6).
thermostability
It can continuously resist high temperature of 80-120℃, and its decomposition temperature exceeds 350℃, so it is suitable for high temperature environment.
chemical stability
Resistant to acid and alkali, solvents and various chemical corrosion, but soluble in polar solvents.
